MUFG Bank appoints Manoj Bhatia as head of global subsidiary banking for Asia & Oceania

He will head the team developing multinational client portfolios for 13 regional markets.

MUFG Bank has appointed Manoj Bhatia as managing director and head of global subsidiary banking for Asia & Oceania.

He was formerly the managing director and head of Citi’s Asia-Pacific regional account management team with the MNC banking business.

In his new capacity at MUFG, Bhatia will be responsible for a team that develops multinational client portfolios of regional treasury centres and subsidiaries of corporates and non-bank financial institutions across 13 markets in Asia and Oceania.

The region also accounts for nearly half (40%) of the bank's total overseas net operating profits.

Bhatia graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering from the Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering in 1992 and has a Master’s in Business Administration from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies in India.
