Silver Harbour Centre site faces security risk
The Silver Harbour Centre website is facing a medium-level security threat after security tool Wordfence reported on 17 March 2026 that the Yoast SEO plugin is out of date, warning administrators at 04:00:27 that the upgrade from version 23.9 to 27.2 includes security-related fixes and should be installed through the site’s WordPress dashboard as soon as possible.
Security scan highlights plugin vulnerability
In its automated scan report, Wordfence listed one new critical problem and noted that seven existing issues had reappeared, though it did not display details of those repeat findings in the alert.
The main issue is the Yoast SEO plugin, which Wordfence says must be updated from version 23.9 to 27.2. The tool categorised the vulnerability with a severity score of 6.4 out of 10, describing it as a medium-level problem. According to the scan notice, the new release of Yoast SEO “includes security-related fixes.”
Administrators are directed to review the full scan results through the WordPress admin panel, via the Wordfence scan page, where further technical details and the status of older issues are available.
Free-tier protection and upgrade push
The alert also reminds the site that it is currently running the free version of Wordfence, which offers scheduled scans but does not include real-time firewall and scan rule updates, real-time IP blocklists, or country blocking.
Wordfence uses the message to promote its premium service, highlighting features such as real-time firewall rules, IP reputation monitoring, more frequent scheduled scans, access to premium support, and discounts on multi-year and multi-licence plans.
The email notes that anyone who is no longer an administrator can opt out of future alerts, suggesting that responsibility for installing the Yoast SEO update and addressing the seven recurring issues now rests clearly with the current site management team.
In practical terms, the immediate step is straightforward: apply the Yoast SEO update that contains the security fixes, then review the remaining items in the Wordfence report to decide which risks the Silver Harbour Centre website can tolerate, and which need further remediation.
