Standard Chartered appoints Vishu Ramachandran as group head of retail banking
He was previously COO for consumer banking since 2012.
Standard Chartered has appointed industry veteran Vishu Ramachandran as group head of retail banking. Vishu has three decades of banking experience having served as Standard Chartered’s head of retail banking for South Asia, the Middle East, Pakistan and Africa.
He was also the bank’s previous global chief risk officer for retail banking. Prior to this, he was chief operating officer for consumer banking (now retail banking), since June 2012 where oversaw risk finance, human resource, legal & compliance, business development strategy, service quality and reengineering, and technology and operations within consumer banking.

Vishu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Statistics and is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountant, India.
