Rabobank appoints Allard Voûte as manager for International Desks Singapore and Representative Markets
Rabobank International announced the appointment of Mr. Allard Voûte as Manager for International Desks Singapore and Representative Markets.
Based in Singapore, Mr. Voûte will focus on servicing Dutch companies that are active in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Mr. Ronald Batstra, Rabobank’s Head International Desks, says he is very pleased to welcome Mr. Voûte into this role.
“Allard’s experience, having worked in roles for Rabobank in the Netherlands in serving Dutch companies which are active internationally, will add value to further grow the Dutch clients’ franchise here.
“His role will focus on connecting the Netherlands with South East Asia. The edge we have in servicing our clients is our knowledge and understanding of their parent companies in the Netherlands, and combining this with our local knowledge and footprint in South East Asia. Vice versa, the International Desk will also guide companies from South East Asia in setting up operations in the Netherlands,” Mr. Batstra said.
Mr. Allard Voûte commented: “Rabobank has a clear focus to further build our position as the leading Food & Agri bank internationally. The main goal of the International Desks is to support our Dutch clients as they pursue business and investment in other parts of the world.
“With Singapore gaining traction as a key regional hub for many of our clients, I am confident that there are a lot of opportunities to increase our business and activities with our existing and potential Dutch clients here,” Mr. Voûte said.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Voûte was based in the Netherlands working for Rabobank’s Trade and Commodity Finance Export Finance department. In this position he facilitated the business in both Dutch exports as well as realised transactions with foreign Export Credit Agencies.
Mr. Voûte reports globally to Mr. Ronald Batstra, Rabobank’s Head International Desks, and locally to Mr. Toon Chin Huat, Head of South East Asia Loan Products Group.
