C.M. Vasudev reappointed non-executive chairman of HDFC Bank
Will serve in this post until August 26, 2015.
Vasudev’s appointment, however, is subject to approval of the Reserve Bank of India and the bank's shareholders.
Vasudev, who joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1966, has worked as an Executive Director of World Bank, representing India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.
He served the Ministry of Finance for eight years in various capacities, and was also made the government nominee director on the boards of State Bank of India, IDBI, ICICI, IDFC, NABARD, National Housing Bank and on the Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India.
