India may sue HSBC over black money

The Indian government may sue HSBC for persuading their executives to stash undeclared money in a Geneva branch.

HSBC's role is described as "active" in a report cited by Xinhua News.

India's Central Board of Direct Taxes has sought the opinion of the Law Ministry for this.

This comes at a time when the Indian government promised Parliament last week a White Paper on black money soon.
