Road closures set around Sports Hub, Marina Centre for OCBC Cycle on 11-12 May
Over 7,000 cyclists are expected to participate at the OCBC Cycle 2024.
Road closures will be in effect around the Singapore Sports Hub, Marina Bay, and West Coast Highway on 11 and 12 May for the OCBC Cycle 2024.
Beginning at 1 a.m on 12 May, several roads around Kallang and Marina Bay will be closed, including segments of Nicoll Highway, Sheares Avenue, ECP (City), Republic Avenue, Bayfront Avenue, Straits Boulevard, Central Boulevard, and West Coast Highway. These closures will gradually lift from 9 a,m., with full accessibility restored by 11 am. Temporary traffic flow changes will also occur on Raffles Link and Stadium Drive.
East Coast Parkway will close after the Rochor Road exit from 3 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., with diversions in place towards Rochor Road exit. Motorists bound for Marina Bay and the Central Business District are advised to use the Central Expressway and exit at Havelock Road.
Stadium Drive will be closed to the public on 11 May, from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. Detailed road closure and traffic advisory information can be found in Annex A, whilst recommended travel directions are outlined in Annex B, aiding motorists in navigating around affected areas such as Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay.
Participants of OCBC Cycle 2024 are urged to use public transport and plan their journeys in advance.
Parking is available at Kallang Sports Complex - Carpark Four, near Kallang Leisure Park.
Moreover, public bus services will also be affected, with updates available on respective bus operators' websites closer to the event dates.
