ICBC Standard Bank names Florent Darlet as Asia commodities structuring head
He previously served as Sberbank's managing director of structured products.
ICBC Standard Bank has appointed industry veteran Florent Darlet as head of commodities structuring for Asia where he will lead in structuring and executing both risk-management functions and structured financing solutions for the bank's global client base.
A seasoned expert, Florent has nearly 20 years of experience in structuring solutions, the last 10 of which have been focused on commodities. He joins ICBC Standard Bank from Sberbank CIB’s Moscow headquarters where he served as managing director of the structured products group. In his previous role, he pioneered their commodities structured financing platform, and designed and launched the bank’s domestic commodities trading entity
Florent will be based in the Bank’s Singapore office, and will report directly to Henry Luo, Head of Global Markets Structuring, with a line into Stephen Gargiulo, Global Head of FICE Sales and Structuring.
Florent began his career in his native France as an analyst in Merrill Lynch’s Paris office. He also worked at Credit Suisse and HSBC in Hong Kong.
