Singapore tightens rules for housing loans

Singapore's central bank has tightened rules on residential property lending due to a possible bubble in the real estate market.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore said in a statement it was imposing a maximum tenure of 35 years for new housing loans with effect from Saturday.
