Citi appoints Lin Hai as head of China commercial bank business

Lin was most recently head of corporate sales & solutions for China and HK.

Citi has named Lin Hai as head of Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) in China.

In his new role, Lin will oversee all business and operations of CCB China and will be responsible for driving CCB China’s strategic market share, operations, and financial performance, Citi said in a press release.

He reports to Gunjan Kalra, head of CCB for Asia North, Australia & Asia South clusters, and Luke Lu, Citi Country Office and head of banking for China.

Lin first joined Citi as a treasury management associate in 2022. In his over 20-year career with Citi, he worked in various roles across Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China.

Most recently, Lin was head of corporate sales and solutions, in markets, for mainland China and Hong Kong.
