Citi names C.R. Sambamurthy as Asia head of Citigold

Sambamurthy has a 34-year career with Citi prior to his new role.

Citi has appointed C.R. Sambamurthy as the Asia head of Citigold and Citigold Private Client (CPC), effective 1 August.

Sambamurthy was most recently the head of International Personal Banking (IPB) for Citi, before taking a sabbatical.

He has spent 34 years with Citi, working in the fields of cross-border wealth management and managing complex, multi-jurisdictional businesses in Asia and Europe. 

Sambamurthy was also conferred the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Fellow title in 2016.
