Hong Leong Bank unveils new Wise credit card

Cardholders can have up to 10% cash back benefit.

According to a statement, with Hong Leong Wise Credit Card launched in association with Visa International, consumers now have a choice of 10% cash back benefit from as many as 10 reward categories.

“With the Hong Leong Wise Credit Card we wanted to offer our customers the flexibility of choosing categories that will give them maximum rewards any time, every day. By giving customers the power of choice, this card could help them towards saving money every time they spend on the card by providing cash back,” said Ms Moey Tan, Hong Leong Bank’’s Chief Operating Officer, Personal Financial Services.

This innovative card promises customers an attractive and transparent rewards programme that’s different from other cards currently available in the market. Customers can choose any two categories relevant to their lifestyle in order for them to maximise the monetary rewards. The Hong Leong Wise Credit Card offers 10% cash back for transactions on petrol, dining, groceries, departmental stores, pharmacies, utility bills, travel, bookstores, and entertainment categories. Additionally, Hong Leong Bank will award a bonus category to allow for cash back for mobile telecommunications transactions.

To receive cash back, customers just need to swipe at least 10 times per month on their credit card at a minimum of RM50 per transaction. Spend on principal and supplementary cards can be combined to make up the required transactions. A customer can earn up to a maximum of RM100 cash back monthly and have the option to change their reward categories at any time at a minimal cost of RM10 per change.

In conjunction with the launch, new Hong Leong Bank customers who sign up for the Hong Leong Wise Credit Card will receive a waiver for the 1st year annual fee plus a RM50 cash rebate. Product terms and conditions apply.
