China banks NPL ratio down 1.84%
The ratio of non-performing loans by Chinese banks at the end of September fell 0.6 percentage points to 1.84 percent less than the end of 2010.
According to the China Banking Regulatory Commission, the outstanding NPL totaled 1.06 trillion yuan or US$167.46 billion, 184.7 billion yuan less than the end of 2010.
By the end of September, the banking sector's capital adequacy ratio climbed 0.16 percentage point to 12.3 percent while total assets hit 107.4 trillion yuan, it said.
