ABC conducts overseas system operations

ABC launched its overseas system operation service area at the data center of its Head Office and has successfully tookover the core banking system of the Hong Kong Branch.

Mr. Pan Gongsheng, Vice President of ABC,  pointed out that this launching marked another major progress by ABC in informatizing its overseas institutions after it launched the Guangzhou sub-center of the Software Development Center in July this year.

The launching has laid a solid foundation for ABC to fully tap the resource advantage of the Head Office, strengthen domestic and overseas business interaction and realize the centralized distribution, operation and maintenance of the core systems of its overseas institutions.

He emphasized that as ABC has stepped up its internationalization after being listed, it has entered a fast-developing period to heighten the levels of the operation and management of its overseas institutions. In the future, ABC will build a 24-hour trading platform on the basis of the overseas system operation service area. It will also intensify technological support for overseas institutions and improve services for the overseas system operation service area. In addition, it will intensify the concentration of other information systems of overseas institutions at the Data Center so as to build a globally integrated operation and management system.

The overseas system operation service area is an independent and specialized operation service center established by ABC. After that, all the core information systems of ABC overseas institutions will be arranged in this service area, and these overseas institutions will receive more professional operating service and technical support from the Head Office. Accordingly, the level of informatization of overseas institutions will be fundamentally elevated.
