Indonesia Mall brings MSMEs online and introduces them to a larger market.
Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Bank BRI) has invested $1m (IDR13.6m) for assisted e-commerce venture Indonesia Mall, according to a news release.
First rolled out in October 2018, Indonesia Mall aims to help the country’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) open new revenue channels by participating in the online retail market. More than 2,000 MSMEs joined in 2019 and have seen revenues rise 40% on average.
In addition, the platform handles shipping and logistics for its sellers from end to end. When selling through the platform, companies also gain access to Bank BRI accounts and financial services.
