HDBank wins Mid-sized Domestic Retail Bank of the Year - Vietnam at ABF Awards
The company received the Mid-sized Domestic Retail Bank of the Year - Vietnam Award.
HDBank bags the award for the Mid-sized Domestic Retail Bank of the Year - Vietnam in the Retail Banking Awards 2020, presented by Asian Banking and Finance magazine.
The event honours the most outstanding banks and financial institutions that have introduced groundbreaking products and services that empowered them to successfully adapt with the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
HDBank proved that it deserves to be in the top list amongst Vietnamese commercial banks as it continuously improved products, applied modern technology to credit operations to shorten the loan review time, as well as simplify loan review process in its retail banking sector and retail banking division.
The bank has also increased the management of its credit operations to ensure safety in lending.
Following the direction of the State Bank and the Government, HDBank continued to launch new products and services in line with the market situation and the provisions of law to meet all customers’ demand. Just in 2019, the retail credit growth of core products of its retail banking division increased to nearly 48% YoY.
In the early stage of its development, HDBank achieved the strategic goal and vision for becoming the leading bank in retailing as well as small and medium enterprises (SME) and consumption. It also became one of the big financial banking corporations of Vietnam and Southeast area, contributing to the development and engagement in the global financial market.
The bank boasts being ahead in application of information technology, e-banking development, fintech and diversified products. It is also known for prioritising convenience of financial service for the people thus being recognised as a bank of people or Happy Bank.
Last year marked HDBank's successful transformation into digital banking as it launched its own digital banking application, which aims to integrate smart features at a lightning processing speed, safety and security for customers.
Apart from the core features such as bank transfers or bill payments, App HDBank has also brought fresh, innovative and convenient bonuses, notably virtual assistant (chat bot) supporting 24/7 online and guiding customers quickly.
HDBank also focused on increasing utilities for cardholders in 2019 as it developed solutions to promote cashless payment, and developing customers of the corporate ecosystem.
The bank also saw a high growth rate in its agricultural loan product over the same period. HDBank also continued to build sustainable relationships with major partners to provide working capital to individuals and business households under the Agricultural Cooperation Chain.
HDBank also introduced promotion policies for sustainable developments, promotion programs applicable to existing customers, programs according to customers’ age, as well as incentives on customers’ birthdays or on holidays.
The Retail Banking Awards, presented by Asian Banking & Finance magazine, was held via video conferencing throughout the whole month of August.
